Adelphi is seeking a part-time Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language therapy services at a school facility in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide therapy services in accordance with established guidelines, school procedures, and standards of practice. Job Quick Facts • Reference #: EDU-892-06 • Profession: Allied Health • Specialty: Speech and Language Pathologist • Location: St. Louis, MO • Facility Type: School • Coverage Type: On-Site • Job Type: Part-Time (Apprx 32 hr/ week) • Contract Duration: ASAP to June 30, 2027 • Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. • Start Date: As soon as possible • Compensation: $60 per hour Requirements • Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited or otherwise approved program. • Current Missouri Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing, as required under Chapter 324, RSMo. • Experience providing speech and language therapy services to children or young adults, preferably individuals ages 5–21. • Experience working with individuals with visual impairments is preferred. • Familiarity with school-based speech and language therapy services, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and IDEA requirements. Responsibilities • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with each student’s IEP, including required service minutes and IEP goals and benchmarks. • Deliver speech and language therapy using an integrated therapy approach to support students’ communication and participation within the educational environment. • Provide direct therapy services on an individual basis unless the student’s IEP specifies group services. • Conduct speech and language assessments and provide intervention addressing communication needs identified through the evaluation and IEP process. • Assist in the development of students’ Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP) as part of the IEP process. • Monitor and document student progress and provide progress information to classroom teachers and other school staff when requested. • Provide direct therapy addressing speech, articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, social communication, and functional communication needs, as applicable to the student’s IEP. • Consult with classroom staff and other school personnel regarding strategies and techniques that support students in achieving their IEP goals. • Demonstrate appropriate speech and language techniques and communication strategies to classroom staff during consultation, as applicable. • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, therapy services, progress, consultations, and other required student records. • Any other duties as assigned.
