
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at 1019 Vermillion Place, a senior living community in Anderson, Indiana.
This is a great opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working with older adults and is passionate about helping residents maintain and improve their communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities. This opportunity offers the flexibility of PRN scheduling while providing the consistency of an ongoing caseload and a predictable schedule that works with your availability.
Evaluate residents' communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each resident's needs, goals, and level of function.
Provide skilled speech-language pathology services addressing communication, cognition, and swallowing needs while collaborating with residents, families, nursing staff, and other members of the care team.
Complete timely and accurate evaluations, progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with PT, OT, nursing, facility staff, residents, and families to promote coordinated, resident-centered care.
Participate in team development meetings and take advantage of opportunities to continue growing your clinical skills.
Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
Licensure: Valid Indiana Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility.
Clinical Skills: Strong assessment and treatment skills with the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
Technology: Computer proficiency and ability to document in an electronic medical record system.
