Job Description
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, completion of supervised clinical experience, and state licensure or certification.
Salary: $35/hour working 35 hours per week.
Period of Employment: School year position
Reports to: Director of Special Services/Elementary Special Education Supervisor
Position Expectations:
- Assist speech-language pathologists in conducting screenings or assessments of language, voice, fluency, articulation, or hearing.
- Under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist, conduct therapy in the areas of receptive and/or expressive language, articulation, fluency, augmentative/alternative communication (AAC) and oral motor skills.
- Collect and compile data to document student's performance or assess program quality.
- Document student's progress toward meeting established IEP goals.
- Perform support duties such as preparing materials, keeping records, maintaining supplies, and scheduling therapy sessions.
- Prepare charts, graphs, or other visual displays to communicate student's performance information.
- Select or prepare speech-language instructional materials.
- Other duties as directed by the Director of Special Services and Elementary Special Education Supervisor.
