The Speech Language Pathologist will enjoy a consistent caseload. Evaluate and deliver therapy services to adults and school-aged children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes, adult day programs and/or outpatient medical facilities

Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Providing individual, family or collateral psychotherapy to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities

  • Conducting psychosocial assessments

  • Being part of a multidisciplinary team (medical doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, etc.)

Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.)Minimum requirements of specific positions may vary by assigned function and/or contract. Please refer to applicable regulations/contracts for all position requirements

All SLPs must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Current licensure by NYS

  • Current certification by ASHA

  • Ability to work effectively with limited on-site supervision

Preferred Qualification Requirements (desired requirements beyond MQRs above)

  • Experience with the I/DD population (2+ years is preferable)

  • Dysphagia experience, a big plus

  • AAC experience strongly preferred but not required

Compensation:
  • Compensation is 68000 - 100000 USD; including bonuses
