Full-time position for a pediatric speech language pathologist includes specialized practice in speech and language evaluations and therapy, with additional practice in feeding and swallowing evaluations , therapy , and pediatric modified barium swallow studies , and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) Services are provided in both outpatient and inpatient capacities. This role will predominantly be in person, though may incorporate some telehealth practice based on patient population needs. Candidate must be available to work weekends.
Additional responsibilities include documentation, care coordination as it pertains to the patient’s speech and language and/or feeding needs, and collaboration with peers as well as the medical team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
·The Staff Speech-Language Pathologist conducts comprehensive assessments of in and outpatients with disorders of swallowing, communication, voice and cognition.
·Plans and implements individual/group speech-language pathology treatments to achieve the highest possible level of independence.
·Collaborates with other disciplines to arrange for appropriate follow-up care and facilitates a successful return to home and work environments.
·Provides student training according to departmental guidelines and participates in continuous education.
·Is encouraged to assist in interdisciplinary research.
·Conducts speech-language pathology evaluation procedures according to professional and departmental guidelines.
·Establishes treatment goals and plans that reflect the needs of the patients while meeting departmental, institutional, and third party reimbursement requirements.
·Implements comprehensive individual and group treatment.
·Consistently demonstrates clinical competence.
·Complies with departmental, institutional, and accrediting agency policies and standards.
·Shows evidence of on-going professional growth and knowledge of regulations and standards.
·Participates in the development and evaluation of speech-language pathology programs.
·Collaborates with colleagues and other professionals to provide high quality patient care.
·Orients medical professional staff and the community to speech-language pathology and supervises speech-language pathology students.
·Utilizes hospital's Values as the basis for decision-making and to facilitate the division's hospital mission.
·Follows established hospital infection control and safety procedures
·Inpatient coverage and weekends may be required in a rotating fashion once training is provided
·Pediatric speech language pathologist with expertise in language evaluations and telehealth
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Educations:
·Work requires a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required:
·Work requires a current license required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. ASHA membership preferred.
·Work requires a current CPR certification.
Knowledge and Skills:
·Work requires interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients, families and various members of the health care team.
·Work requires analytical abilities sufficient to evaluate patients’ condition, capabilities and progress to develop appropriate treatment programs.
Compensation Range:
$46.13- $56.23
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
