Job Description

Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

Banding: Band 6

Grade: AHP

Location: Southall

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 2 Months (with potential for extension)

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

Pulse is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join the adult community team at Clayponds Hospital or Ealing Day Treatment Centre. This locum role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality care and support to patients with communication and swallowing needs in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, treatment, and management of adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support patients across clinic and community settings as required

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (required)
  • HCPC registration (required)
  • Experience working with adult caseloads in community or outpatient settings
  • Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
