SPEECHCOM, INC is excited to announce a full-time opportunity for a passionate and motivated speech and language pathology assistant (SLPA) to join our Supportive and Collaborative School-Based Team in the Norwalk area of Southern California. • Rate of Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour W2 (depending on experience)
• Elementary School Caseload (students across all spectrums)

What YOU Need

• Active CA state-issued license as a speech and language pathology assistant (SLPA) required.
• Must pass Livescan fingerprinting
• A current TB test results (within the past 60 days)
• Must possess sufficient technology skills to complete data entry, documentation and communicate effectively via email.
• Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Familiarity with AAC, including low and high tech communication systems.

Requirements

Primary Job Duties:

• Select or prepare speech-language instructional materials.
• Assist speech-language pathologists in the conduct of student screenings or assessments of language, voice, fluency, articulation, or hearing.
• Implement treatment plans or protocols as directed by speech-language pathologists.
• Assist speech-language pathologists in the remediation or development of speech and language skills.
• Collect and compile data to document students' performance or assess program quality.
• Document students' progress toward meeting established treatment objectives.
• Perform support duties, such as preparing materials, keeping records, maintaining supplies, and scheduling activities.
• Prepare charts, graphs, or other visual displays to communicate students' performance information.
• Participate in training and continuing education courses to maintain licensing and professional requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
