Point Quest is Hiring: Speech Language Pathology Assistant $40–$45/hr | Full-Time | Los Angeles, CA | School-Based
About the Role:
Provide speech-language therapy support services to students in a school-based setting under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This role focuses on implementing treatment plans, supporting communication development, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to help students succeed academically and socially.

What You’ll Do:
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
- Develop therapy materials for verbal and non-verbal learners (AAC devices, visual icons, communication boards)
- Deliver speech-language therapy tailored to students’ functional levels
- Support students and families by fostering resilience, positivity, and engagement
- Maintain accurate data collection, therapy notes, and documentation of student progress
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective service delivery
- Follow guidelines for scheduling time off to minimize disruption to school operations
What We’re Looking For:
Must Have:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license (or eligibility) in the state of California
- DOJ/FBI background check clearance (or equivalent)
- TB clearance
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Familiarity with AAC devices and communication supports
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Physical Demands:
- Occasional exposure to environmental elements such as dust, pollen, and fumes
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in moderate to high noise environments and perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices
