Ability to implement services outlined in an Individual Education Plan (IEP) developed by a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Ability to collect accurate student performance data. Knowledge of child development and especially of characteristics of students with disabilities. Basic understanding and knowledge of current technology. Skill in using varied teaching and communication methods to address student needs. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to plan and implement activities for maximum effectiveness. Ability to maintain appropriate student supervision so that students have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn. Ability to work effectively with students, families, and staff members. Knowledge of confidentiality requirements under FERPA and HIPAA, as applicable.
Assist the licensed Speech-Language Pathologist(s) in implementing speech-language services for students with communication disorders by providing direct intervention, collecting therapy data, preparing materials, maintaining documentation, and supporting educational programming under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in accordance with federal and state laws, School Board policies, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
(1) Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), or related field.
(2) Valid and current Florida certification in field, or hold appropriate state license for position.
(3) Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.

Salary Information: Instructional. One hundred ninety-six days worked per year (10 months). FLSA Exempt.
