At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in San Bernardino, CA! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in San Bernardino, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in San Bernardino, CA
• Schedule: 25 hours a month, 5 sessions a week for 1.15 hours
• Rate ranges from $25-$35 per hour

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience supporting elementary students in foundational academics
• Strong skills in reading intervention, writing support, and elementary math instruction
• Patient, encouraging, and able to provide step-by-step guidance and scaffolding
• Comfortable using visual supports, graphic organizers, manipulatives, and hands-on learning strategies
• Able to break down assignments and directions into manageable steps to reduce overwhelm
• Skilled in helping students build confidence, organization, and independent learning habits
• Creative and engaging teaching style that keeps students motivated and focused
• Familiar with foundational multiplication, division, reading fluency, and writing development
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills with students and families
• Able to create structured, supportive, and encouraging learning sessions

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support in foundational reading, writing, and math skills
• Help improve decoding, reading fluency, and reading comprehension through guided instruction and practice
• Support writing development using sentence starters, graphic organizers, guided writing, and vocabulary-building activities
• Reinforce grammar, punctuation, sentence formation, and organization of ideas in writing assignments
• Assist with homework completion by breaking tasks into clear, manageable steps
• Teach foundational multiplication and division concepts using visuals, manipulatives, and real-life examples
• Use repetition, modeling, and scaffolding strategies to strengthen skill retention and confidence
• Create engaging, hands-on lessons that encourage active participation and academic growth
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on individual learning needs
• Foster a positive, patient, and supportive environment that promotes confidence and independence
