Educational Assistant Position for the 2026-2027 School Year

Special Education Educational Assistant

As a SPED Educational Assistant (EA), you will belong to a great team that supports students and teachers in the school and the classroom. An EA provides the necessary support that enables the students to succeed and grow both academically and in their independence. We expect our EA's to be advocates and positive role models for the students and staff they work with in the school.

Duty Days/Hours:

171 duty days (student contact days)

8:45 am - 3:45 pm (6.5 hours plus .5 hour unpaid lunch)

Salary:

$19.52+ per hour per based on experience Educational Assistants Work Agreement

Qualifications:

• Required: High School diploma
• Complete PCA training before New Hire Orientation
• Preferred: Experience working with students with special needs; current CPI certification

• Provide students with defined supports from their Individualized Education Plans under the direction of the special education teacher.
• Collect data on student progress in the general or special education classroom under the direction of the special education teacher.
• Partner with teachers and administrators to provide the best possible educational environment for students.
• Participate in professional development opportunities throughout the school year to best serve students.

Positions 1,020 hours or more per year are benefit eligible
