Specification Engineer (AutoCAD & BIM)
Hybrid / Remote (NI & ROI)
At Inclusion IQ, we are currently partnering with a global leader in infrastructure solutions to find a dedicated Specification Engineer for their technical team. This position provides technical and CAD support to engineering consultants, contractors, and asset owners. The role focuses on utilising technical product solutions to optimise and improve designs in line with client requirements, including sustainability, design assurance, buildability, and installation speed.
This position is strictly focused on technical design, engineering support, and design optimisation rather than commercial pricing or procurement. Your technical reviews and layouts directly connect customer orders to the manufacturing process.

Engineering Calculations: Carry out structural and load calculations to confirm the suitability and compliance of infrastructure products.
Technical Documentation & Reporting: Generate accurate material schedules from engineering drawings, produce installation guides and specification documents, and prepare monthly technical activity reports for the commercial department.
Product Support & Development: Act as a trusted technical advisor, provide guidance on product compliance and suitability, and assist with new product development and supporting literature.
Asset & Version Control: Ensure digital assets are controlled, version-managed, and accessible to engineering and commercial teams.
Essential Criteria & Qualifications
Education: Civil Engineering HNC, HND, or equivalent formal qualification.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on working experience within a civil engineering design environment, technical support, or BIM coordination role.
