Job Title: Staff Pharmacist
Location: Lake Charles, Louisiana
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Assignment Length: Early May – Mid-August
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently hiring a Staff Pharmacist for a specialty pharmacy assignment in the Lake Charles, LA area This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with specialty or retail experience who is looking for a weekday schedule with no weekends or on-call responsibilities
This pharmacist will support the existing pharmacy team and assist with standard dispensing and clinical responsibilities in a specialty pharmacy environment.
Assignment Details
Start: Early May
End: Mid-August
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pharmacy System: Epic Willow Ambulatory
Responsibilities
Perform standard staff pharmacist duties including prescription verification and dispensing oversight
Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety protocols
Provide drug information and patient counseling when needed
Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain efficient workflow
Support the existing staff pharmacist with daily pharmacy operations
Requirements
Active Louisiana Pharmacist License in good standing
Specialty pharmacy or retail pharmacy experience preferred
