Job Description
Work with a high level of performance in accordance with the company’s requirements for occupational health, environmental protection, industrial safety, and quality, ensuring that operations are carried out with minimal environmental impact and in compliance with all applicable standards and requirements to guarantee the safe execution of activities.
- Execute the activities established in the HSE Plan and the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System, ensuring compliance with NOV guidelines, clients’ contractual requirements, and applicable Colombian legislation.
- Identify hazards and assess and evaluate risks associated with operational activities, promoting and verifying the implementation of effective controls to prevent incidents, occupational illnesses, and environmental impacts.
- Conduct periodic HSE inspections of facilities, work areas, and field operations, identifying unsafe acts and conditions and following up on the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide guidance and support to operational personnel on health, safety, and environmental matters, promoting compliance with procedures, safe work standards, and HSE best practices during the execution of activities.
- Develop, schedule, and deliver HSE training sessions, inductions, pre-job safety talks, and awareness activities, aimed at strengthening personnel competencies and fostering a prevention-oriented culture.
- Participate in the investigation of incidents and near misses, identifying immediate and root causes, defining and documenting action plans, and following up on their implementation to prevent recurrence.
- Manage findings resulting from inspections, audits, investigations, and HSE visits, documenting non-conformities when applicable, analyzing their causes, and following up on the closure and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Support Occupational Health and Safety management, monitoring activities under programs designed to maintain safe and healthy working conditions, in accordance with the scope and responsibilities of the position.
- Coordinate and communicate HSE activities, participating in meetings, promptly reporting hazardous conditions, and promoting continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to safe and environmentally responsible operations.
Industrial Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, and/or Administrative-related degree programs. Diploma in Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management. 50-hour Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SG-SST) course. Basic to intermediate English proficiency.
