About the Role

Reporting to the Processing Supervisor Training, Processing Production Training are seeking an Specialist Trainer to facilitate internal BHP WAIO training theory and practical assessments.

Your primary skillset will be High risk equipment, Processing plant and equipment, MEM and Autonomous equipment and processes and Fixed Plant Maintenance plant and equipment.

This role is a FIFO roster from Perth or Busselton on an 8 day on, 6 days off - day shift only roster or can be offered residentially if already in Newman (No relocation is being provided for this role)

Your role requires general administrative support for the training team and coordination of internal training for your customers.

Key responsibilities within this role will include but are not limited to:

• Working with execution leaders, particularly Supervisors, to help build the required capability within their teams
• Conduct routine operations and safety activities to effectively prepare for and manage operational workload
• Design and deliver training plans, train and assess technicians and improve training programs to maintain safety, compliance and performance during operations.
• Carrying out performance verifications against standards at the frontline including coaching others in assessment and verification processes
• Continuous monitoring of crews’ performance and initiating the necessary input or support to ensure standards are achieved and maintained
• Know our customer and strive to meet their needs
• Prioritise to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste of operational roles and activities

About You

To be successful in this position, you will be a collaborative, performance focused and output driven individual with the following skills and qualifications:

• Possess the Assessor Skill Set Units of Competency or Certificate IV TAE40116 or TAE40122
• Valid Australian C class driver’s licence - HR or MC desirable
• High risk qualifications and experience, possess any of the High Risk Work License (HRWL) classes; Forklift (LF); Elevated Work Platform (WP); Dogging (DG); Rigging Basic (RB), Non-slewing Crane (CN)

In addition, you will possess highly developed written and verbal communication skills complimented with the following demonstrated experience - highly desirable but not mandatory:

• Experience in operating large Surface Mobile Equipment such as Excavators, Dozers and Loader is preferred or;
• Experience in processing plant or fixed plant maintenance areas or;
• Experience operating other classes of machinery such as Trucks, Watercarts, Rock breakers and Graders etc. is beneficial
• A proven track record of safety management
• Experience in High Risk Work Equipment
• Experience in an Autonomous environment preferred.
• Very good organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good experience and skills in the use of technology in managing work processes, data capture and compliance reporting;
• Working knowledge of Learning Management principles
