About the Role

As a Specialist - Technical Accounting & Assurance, you will support the team in applying accounting standards (such as IFRS and K-IFRS) across the organization. You will assist in researching and documenting accounting positions, support the preparation and review of accounting policies, and help analyze accounting implications for routine and selected complex transactions. You will also support statutory and management reporting activities, assist with audit-related requests, and work closely with senior team members and cross-functional teams on projects such as acquisitions and other finance initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze complex accounting issues and provide well-documented technical guidance on complex transactions (e.g., revenue, leases, business combinations, impairments) in line with IFRS.

  • Assist in providing accounting support for M&A, divestitures, joint ventures, and restructuring activities.

  • Evaluate the accounting treatment of business combinations, goodwill, and intangible assets.

  • Support the preparation and maintenance of accounting position papers and judgment memos for material and complex matters.

  • Assist in drafting and updating accounting policy documentation.

  • Support the preparation and review of guidance related to financial statement line items.

  • Participate in training sessions for finance teams on accounting policy updates and technical topics.

  • Support quarterly and annual financial reporting processes, including disclosures.

  • Act as a key liaison with external auditors, ensuring audit readiness, timely issue resolution, and minimal audit adjustments.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, audit, or accounting advisory roles.

  • Deep understanding of accounting and international standards

  • Proven experience in analyzing and applying IFRS to real-world business scenarios.

  • Hands-on experience in preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS

  • Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Demonstrated experience in accounting transformations and regulatory projects.

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) or strong aptitude to learn new systems quickly.

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset

  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification in accounting or auditing

  • Big 4 experience

  • Experience in the automotive or automotive supplier industry.

  • Strong project management skills

  • Experience working in a multinational organization utilizing a Financial Shared Services model.

  • External audit, ESG reporting experience.
