The Opportunity
The Solutions Specialist - Technology & Enablement operates at the intersection of business and technology, partnering with stakeholders to understand business needs, frame the right problems, recommend solutions and technology approaches, and drive initiatives through to delivery. This role serves as a trusted liaison between business units and technical teams, owning the path from problem definition to delivered outcome.
The role emphasizes solution design, product management, and solutions automation, leveraging modern tooling including AI-assisted development to orchestrate processes, drive efficiency, and add measurable value across business workflows. The Solutions Specialist takes a product-oriented approach to enablement, prioritizing initiatives by value and continuously improving how work gets done.
Key Accountabilities
Business Partnership & Liaison
- Serve as the primary bridge between business units and technical and delivery teams.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of their workflows, pain points, and objectives.
- Facilitate requirements discovery through workshops, interviews, and process mapping, focusing on business outcomes and underlying needs.
Analysis & Problem Framing
- Conduct root cause analysis on business and process challenges, distinguishing symptoms from underlying causes.
- Translate business problems into clearly defined, prioritized solution opportunities.
- Challenge assumptions to ensure the right problems are being addressed before solutions are pursued.
Solution Recommendations & Technology Strategy
- Evaluate and recommend solutions, technology stacks, and tooling to support automation and transformation initiatives.
- Provide pragmatic build, buy, and automate recommendations, articulating trade-offs across cost, speed, maintainability, and risk.
- Stay current on emerging platforms, tools, and AI capabilities, applying them where they deliver measurable value.
Product Management & Value Prioritization
- Take a product-oriented approach to enablement, defining a clear vision and roadmap for solutions, automations, and workflow improvements.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business value, effort, and impact, balancing quick wins against longer-term capabilities.
- Gather and synthesize feedback from stakeholders and end users to continuously refine and improve solutions.
- Define success metrics, track adoption and outcomes, and iterate to maximize value delivered.
Solutions Automation & Process Efficiency
- Identify opportunities to automate manual, repetitive, and high-friction tasks across business and process workflows.
- Design and implement automated solutions that orchestrate processes end to end, reduce effort, and improve consistency and quality.
- Leverage AI, integration, and workflow automation tools to streamline operations and add measurable value.
- Map and optimize process workflows, removing bottlenecks and embedding efficiency into how teams operate.
Prototyping & Enablement
- Rapidly develop prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and lightweight automations to validate ideas and accelerate decision-making.
- Apply AI tools and AI-assisted development across the workflow — research, analysis, documentation, prototyping, and automation — to improve speed and quality.
- Introduce improved tooling, workflows, and reusable patterns that raise the team’s overall capability.
Project Orchestration & Delivery
- Orchestrate solution delivery end to end across business, engineering, data, and vendor teams.
- Manage dependencies, drive alignment, and maintain momentum from concept to delivered outcome.
- Communicate status, risks, and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
Education
- Post-secondary education in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of certifications and practical experience will be strongly considered in lieu of a formal degree.
Experience
- 4-6 years of experience in a solutions consulting, business systems, business analysis, product, or related role bridging business and technology.
- Demonstrated experience translating business needs into solution and technology recommendations and driving initiatives through to delivery.
- Hands-on experience identifying, designing, and delivering process automation and efficiency improvements.
- Experience applying AI tools to accelerate analysis, prototyping, automation, and delivery.
- Background working in cross-functional environments as a liaison between business and technical stakeholders.

- AI Fluency: Practical fluency with AI tools, including the ability to build working prototypes and automations using AI-assisted development.
- Technical Literacy: Working knowledge of APIs, data concepts, scripting, and automation platforms, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present clearly to non-technical and technical audiences and collaborate across teams.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic, mission-driven environment; able to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively amid ambiguity.
