Located about 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Jansen is set to become one of the largest and most sustainable potash mines in the world. At approximately US$15.3 billion investment, it marks the biggest private investment in Saskatchewan’s history, and a bold step forward for BHP in Canada.
Beyond its scale, Jansen will create lasting value for people and communities. The project is expected to support approximately 5,500 jobs during construction and around 900 permanent roles once production begins.

As a Specialist Site Operations Mining Systems, you'll help keep critical technology systems running safely and reliably across our operations. You'll be the link between technology and the frontline, providing hands-on support for OT and IT systems that enable site productivity and operational performance.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working closely with customers, and building expertise in a modern mining environment. This position is based at our Jansen Mine Site in Leroy, SK, offering a rotational schedule of 7 days on followed by 7 days off. For those not living locally, BHP provides relocation assistance to the local Jansen area. Alternatively, you can enjoy the convenience and comfort of our onsite camp accommodation at Discovery Lodge during your shifts.
BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required. Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a resettlement allowance.
