Specialist – Senior Snowflake & AI Engineer

What you will do

Design, build, operate, and continuously improve scalable data solutions on the Snowflake platform. Ensure robust data engineering, strong SQL practices, and end‑to‑end quality, security and access control - supported by CI/CD workflows in Azure DevOps - so that business teams can trust and use governed data at scale.

Solution Development

• Design, develop and deploy data models, ELT/ETL pipelines, and platform extensions leveraging Snowflake (incl. Streamlit, Cortex and Snowpark); optimize for performance, reliability and cost efficiency. Provide technical support for data-related issues, resolve incidents and service requests in 3rd Level.
  

Data Engineering & CI/CD

• Build and maintain high‑quality ingestion and transformation pipelines; implement automated testing, deployment and release workflows with Azure DevOps.

Governance, Security & Access Control

• Establish and enforce standards for documentation, lineage, auditability, roles/policies, and secure data access on Snowflake; ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  

Observability & Operations

• Implement monitoring and alerting for pipeline health, data quality and platform usage leveraging Grafana and/or Power BI; drive proactive remediation and continuous improvement.

Enterprise Integration & Business Process Enablement
Collaborate with Data Scientists, SAP ERP and SAP BW/Datasphere teams and business stakeholders to translate process needs into scalable data solutions; ensure accurate, governed data for advanced analytics.

What you will need

Educational qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Fluent command of English

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Snowflake solution development and continuous improvement (SQL/ELT, performance, reliability).
• Expert SQL skills, including optimization and advanced analytics functions
• Data Governance & Security in Snowflake (RBAC, policies, compliance, access control)
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps (pipelines, testing, multi‑environment deployments)
• 4–8+ years in Data Engineering (ingestion, transformations, orchestration, data quality, observability, cost/performance)
• Experience in coordinating cross‑functional teams, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring smooth collaboration
  

Preferred Qualifications

• ML & Forecasting concepts and data preparation practices
• IoT & ML data patterns and streaming/near‑real‑time processing
• Python for scripting, utilities, or data workflows
• Observability tools such as Grafana or Power BI for operational analytics
• High level understanding on Business processes of large enterprises (Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay, Make‑to‑Stock) using SAP ERP and SAP BW/Datasphere
