This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent teacher with experience of working with autistic children and LSD to be part of the school’s specialist provision which opened in September 2024. Our specialist provision is for EYFS and KS1 pupils who have an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) with wide-ranging complex needs. You will be part of a strong, friendly and supportive team working closely with the other Specialist SEN Teachers, providing the education and support pupils with significant special needs require to flourish.
The specialist hub at Langer Primary Academy supports twenty pupils aged 4-7, with complex SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) needs to access appropriate provision that is inclusive within the communities they live. We are committed to a joined-up approach to support the children in our academies and beyond, providing high quality tailored specialist provision and supporting their families. Our schools work in close partnership and share the same inclusive philosophy, where every child is a valued member of the school community. We believe that every child has the right to achieve their full potential, and every family can expect to be supported to enable the home and school partnership to flourish. We are aspirational and have high expectations for children with SEND and believe in providing a bespoke curriculum to meet children’s needs.
Unity Schools Partnership is a forward-thinking academy trust. This role is perfect for a teacher with a keen interest in making a difference to the lives of children with SEND. Training and development are available through opportunities for professional development, research, teacher training and collaboration between schools and across phases. In return we expect a high level of commitment to ensuring that all children achieve. If you are ambitious and keen to work in a family of schools committed to these values, please consider applying for the post.
