Job Title Specialist – Security Operations

The Global Security and Investigations (GSI) team ensures the integrity, availability and protection of Fidelity’s primary assets; reputation, people, information and facilities. The team has the responsibility of mitigating site risks and maintaining a safe and secure workplace through incident response and crisis management

The Purpose of This Role

The Value You Deliver

  • Primary point of contact for Associates & decision maker in emergency situations and incident response pertaining to premises.
  • Providing first responder services for life safety emergencies and incidents within the scope of operational assignments and training. Those incident include, but are not limited to, medical emergencies, fire and other life safety building evacuations, responding to violent or potentially violent situations and unlawful or inappropriate conduct involving employees and others on Fidelity premises and/or Fidelity controlled space.
  • Conducting patrols of both perimeter and the floors to protect people, property and information within an assigned area of responsibility and also to increase security awareness and presence in the work area
  • Ensuring that facilities and restricted areas are properly secured. Implementing & enforcing security and safety measures in accordance with policy and procedures
  • Operating various security equipment’s, such as fire extinguishers, first aid supplies, data entry devices, finger printing devices, X-ray machine and vapor tracer equipment as a control to maintain a safe & secured environment.
  • Provides access control and security interface at fixed posts, entry points and executive reception areas
  • May perform specialized additional duties relating to facility access, security awareness and other project related work
  • Ensuring all contract guard force posts are properly staffed and briefed
  • Establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships with business unit personnel and external service providers such as, peer groups & public safety agencies.
  • Performing administrative and processing functions at security badging station, to include verification, badge creation and access control processing. May assist with customer service requests relating to physical access to facilities.
  • Writing reports of incidents reported / handled during the shift.

  • Must have strong judgment skills and quick decision making abilities
  • Ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for this position.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise written incident reports and other documentation
  • Good Knowledge of physical security techniques and principles
  • Knowledge of basic first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) & Fire Safety.
  • Able to perform first responder rescue activities involved with medical or facility emergency situations
  • Experience in using MS Office products
  • Flexible to working in shifts
  • Aptitude to learn & adapt
  • Should have a good working knowledge of management practices and principles for efficient delivery
  • Should have critical thinking skills to quickly observe a situation and make the appropriate response.

The Skills that is good to have for this role

  • Reasonable technical knowledge on different Access Control, Video surveillance & Fire Alarm systems.
  • Proficient on MS Excel.
  • Liaising Skills

The Expertise we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 3 -5 years of relevant work experience
  • Certifications such as CPP, PSP or any other certifications will be an added advantage
