Job Description

As a Specialist – SAP ABAP within Bristlecone's S4 HANA Technical – Delivery department, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality ABAP code, supporting enhancements, integrating SAP modules, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving performance improvements across our SAP landscape. You will collaborate closely with functional consultants and delivery leads to ensure seamless implementation and continuous improvement of SAP applications.

• Design, develop, and test ABAP objects (reports, interfaces, BAPIs, enhancements, forms, etc.)
• Implement functional and technical enhancements in existing SAP solutions
• Integrate SAP modules using BAPI, IDoc, ALE, and other middleware technologies
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex ABAP runtime issues
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of ABAP code and database accesses
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices and coding standards
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Support S/4 HANA migration activities and related ABAP adaptations
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specs and test cases
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge across the delivery team
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience
• Strong expertise in ABAP Objects (OOABAP) and classic ABAP programming
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA and related ABAP enhancements
• Proficiency in BAPI, IDoc, ALE, and other integration technologies
• Demonstrated ability in performance tuning and code optimization
• Good understanding of core SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, etc.)
• Excellent debugging and problem‑solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced delivery environment and meet project deadlines
