Job Description

Position Title: Specialist – SAP Inventory Control Management
Function: Global Logistics & Material Management

Role Purpose: The Specialist – SAP Inventory Control Management will be responsible for ensuring accurate, reliable, and compliant inventory management across global locations (warehouses, yards, ports, and wind farms) using SAP ERP systems. The role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory integrity, supporting logistics operations, improving processes, and delivering data-driven insights through KPIs and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & SAP Operations

  • Execute and control stock transactions in SAP ERP and related global shipping systems.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records across warehouses, yards, ports, and wind farms.
  • Ensure alignment between physical material movements and ERP transactions, avoiding discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock reliability in line with defined processes and internal controls.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Extract, validate, and analyze data from SAP and other systems to support inventory KPIs and dashboards.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SharePoint.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify gaps and improvement opportunities in SAP inventory processes.
  • Support implementation of process enhancements to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to global logistics and material management procedures.

Invoice & Workflow Management

  • Manage and validate invoices received through workflow systems.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing.

Collaboration & Support

  • Act as a key SAP inventory subject matter support for cross-functional and global teams.
  • Work effectively in a multicultural, international environment.
  • Take on special projects and ad hoc tasks as required by the business.

Qualification & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Combination with Data Science or Analytics is strongly preferred.

Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP (Inventory / Logistics modules).
  • Experience in inventory control, logistics operations, or material management (industry-agnostic).
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP (Inventory / Logistics modules).

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced SAP ERP user (inventory and logistics-related processes).
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including macro programming).
  • Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Power BI, and SharePoint.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven mindset.
  • Strong ability to validate, interpret, and present complex data.
  • Business-fluent English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • German & Spanish are a strong advantage.
