  • Act as a key coordination point between Sales and in-country operational logistics teams, ensuring alignment and effective monitoring.
  • Issue clear instructions to logistics service providers and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
  • Manage end-to-end shipment activities, including vessel nomination, container bookings, port and laycan declarations, shipping instructions, insurance, and coordination of load/discharge port surveyors and operations.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, warehousing operators, and internal shipping teams to secure container and vessel capacity in line with contractual terms.
  • Review and/or process Letters of Credit (LCs) to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational feasibility for shipments.
  • Obtain LC confirmation and discounting quotes from banks and support the discounting process by preparing and submitting required documentation.
  • Ensure all shipping documentation and invoices generated are in order as required, e.g. bill of lading and quality certifications.
  • Liaise with Finance to ensure timely receipt of payments and accurate booking of final invoices.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding on Letter of Credit, UCP 600, ISBP and Incoterms 2020.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in international commodity operations or logistics.
  • Degree-qualified, preferably in Commercial, Engineering, or Business disciplines (desirable).
  • Experience in managing shipments within a trading environment
  • Knowledge of sales operations and trade finance instruments such as letters of credit, warehousing, logistics, and dry bulk/container shipment management (desirable).
