Job Title: Specialist, Sales – Higher Education

As a Specialist, Sales – Higher Education, you will drive growth of Pearson’s Higher Education business in Singapore by building strong, strategic partnerships with universities and key institutional stakeholders. This role focuses on expanding adoption of Pearson’s digital learning solutions while delivering measurable revenue outcomes across an assigned territory.

You’ll wake up excited to engage with educators, academic leaders, and decision‑makers—helping institutions improve teaching and learning outcomes through innovative solutions. In your first six months, your impact will be visible through a strong sales pipeline, increased product adoption, and consistent progress against revenue targets. The Role

This role exists to grow Pearson’s Higher Education presence in Singapore through direct institutional engagement and consultative sales. You’ll work closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive the right solutions, support, and partnership experience throughout the sales cycle.

What You’ll Own

Success in this role is defined by outcomes and ownership:

  • Higher education sales growth Achieve or exceed revenue targets by driving adoption of Pearson products and services across assigned higher education accounts.
  • Strategic account management Build and maintain strong relationships with key university stakeholders, including Teaching & Learning leaders, IT, Procurement, Finance, Libraries, and Academic Designers.
  • Territory & pipeline management Develop and execute a territory sales plan, actively prospect new opportunities, and maintain an accurate sales pipeline in CRM tools.
  • Consultative solution selling Conduct group and individual presentations, working closely with instructors and institutions to align Pearson solutions with academic programmes.
  • New business development Identify and develop new accounts and revenue streams through proactive outreach, including field activity and social selling.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration Partner with operations and internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding, implementation, and ongoing customer support.
  • Market awareness & forecasting Stay current on education market trends, maintain product knowledge, and support sales forecasting and reporting activities.

You’ll spend a significant portion of your time in the field, engaging directly with customers and partners.

About You

You bring strong higher education sales experience, commercial acumen, and a relationship‑driven mindset.

  • You bring a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in higher education sales, account management, or a related customer‑facing role.
  • You’re comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, including Professors, Deans, Vice‑Chancellors, and executive leadership.
  • You have strong negotiation, presentation, and solution‑selling skills, particularly with digital products.
  • You’re commercially minded, proactive, and disciplined in managing pipeline and forecasts.
  • You enjoy networking and are confident using social media and modern sales tools to generate opportunities.
  • You’re fluent in the local language and able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce) and analytics tools is an advantage.
  • You’re willing to travel extensively within your assigned territory.
