Job Description

Job Title: Specialist, Sales – Higher Education

As a Specialist, Sales – Higher Education, you will play a key role in driving growth across the Higher Education portfolio by building strong relationships with institutions and stakeholders in your assigned territory. This role exists to identify opportunities, position solutions that meet customer needs, and deliver sustainable revenue growth through consultative, value‑based selling.

You will wake up each day focused on engaging customers, understanding their challenges, and demonstrating how our solutions support teaching, learning, and student success. In your first six months, you will make an impact by building a healthy sales pipeline, closing opportunities, and establishing yourself as a trusted partner to Higher Education customers.

What You’ll Own

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of Higher Education customers within your assigned territory.
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities while nurturing existing relationships.
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and solution discussions that clearly articulate value and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and activity tracking in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Marketing, Customer Service, and Product to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.

About You

You bring experience in sales or business development and enjoy working in a target‑driven environment where relationships and results both matter. You are comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, asking the right questions, and tailoring solutions to customer needs.

You are proactive, resilient, and commercially minded, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities at once. Whether working independently or collaborating with cross‑functional teams, you take ownership and follow through.

Essential experience and skills

  • Experience in a sales, account management, or business development role
  • Proven ability to build relationships and close opportunities
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable working with targets, pipelines, and forecasts

Desirable

  • Experience selling into Higher Education or education‑related sectors
  • Experience with solution‑based or consultative selling
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting
