Job Title: Specialist, Sales ELL Selling -Spain

Location Valencia region or Madrid

As a Specialist, Sales at Pearson English Language Learning, you will present product solutions to prospective clients, consult on technology needs for online learning environments, identify new business opportunities and drive revenue by negotiating and closing deals and maintaining long-term commercial relationships. You will work with educators and decision-makers, deliver tailored product presentations, and collaborate with internal teams to align offerings with market needs. You will contribute to strategic bids, provide accurate sales forecasting, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

JOB PURPOSE

The Specialist, Sales ELL Spain is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with clients through leveraging Pearson content, assets and partnerships. This person is responsible for maximizing market share and growth in the assigned region as well as establishing large institutional agreements.

The incumbent must stand out in a competitive market, as well as being knowledgeable regarding market and industry trends and takes ownership of proposing and closing deals to achieve revenue growth, profit and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

· Identify and develop new business opportunities across market segments

· Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers, prospective clients and partners via on-site meetings, telephone calls and emails.

· Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients.

· Consult with clients regarding technology and support issues related to online learning.

· Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve revenue targets.

· Collaborate with marketing, sales and product development teams to align business strategies.

· Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.

· Monitor and report on business development activities and performance.

· Working in a fast paced and dynamic organization, the ability to change and flex to new ways of working as required.

· Ability to work in a matrix organization and have the ability to leverage relationships internally and externally to deliver sales results.

· Contributing to complex bids with large educational institutions and organisations.

Education, Qualifications & Training

Essential:

· Bachelor’s Degree required

Previous Experience

Essential:

Minimum 3 + years’ experience in a B2B environment, solution selling.

Experience negotiating and closing large transactions and/or contracts and achieving a significant growth towards a sales goal.

Highly proficient in MS Office and use of CRM systems

Desirable:

· Experience in education industry (publishing, assessment, educational technology)

Languages

Essential: Professional fluency in Spanish and English – C1 level

Personal Style and Behaviour

Enthusiastic, persistent and self-motivated. The ability to work independently, and to plan and prioritise own workload. Good interpersonal skills, to build relationships with Pearson staff, customers and partners.
