
Location: Tipton Medical Office Building
Key Responsibilities
Initiate the patient appointment process, including check‑in and check‑out.
Verify insurance coverage, obtain required consents, and manage incoming phone calls.
Maintain efficient patient flow and ensure accurate demographic and financial data collection to support reimbursement and clinical outcomes.
Schedule appointments, explain department and hospital policies, and enter charges into appropriate systems.
Provide accurate information and direct patients and visitors in a professional manner.
Skills for Success
Strong computer proficiency, including Cerner, Five9, E‑Care Next/Passport, and Microsoft 365 (Outlook/Teams).
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Ability to learn and retain medical coding; ICD‑10 and CPT knowledge preferred.
Ability to interpret insurance information; familiarity with clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
