
Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (24 hours/week). This position is benefits‑eligible.
Location: Methodist Medical Tower
Team Supported: Infectious Diseases
This role is responsible for supporting clinic operations by coordinating patient scheduling, managing pre‑registration, handling message pools, maintaining the inpatient consult board, processing faxes, and performing general administrative tasks. The position ensures efficient patient flow, accurate demographic and financial data collection, and excellent customer service. Responsibilities also include scheduling appointments, obtaining required medical information, explaining departmental policies, entering charges, collecting payments, and directing incoming calls. Hybrid; reliable internet required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Prefer experience in a healthcare setting
Ability to learn and retain ICD‑10 and CPT coding
Ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
