MultiSpecialty Department

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (Onsite)
Location: Fishers Medical Office Building (MOB)

This position supports a multispecialty department by completing patient registration functions and serving as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and internal teams. The role requires daily collaboration with multiple departments to ensure accurate registration, efficient patient flow, and a positive patient experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform patient checkin and checkout processes

  • Complete patient registration and demographic updates

  • Manage patient letters and correspondence

  • Work message pools and fax queues

  • Direct patients and visitors appropriately

  • Schedule appointments for patients 

  • Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems and collect required payments

Patient Flow & Operational Support

  • Facilitate patient flow from point of entry through destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner

  • Obtain and verify demographic and financial information to support accurate billing and optimal clinical outcomes

  • Collaborate with clinical teams and other departments to support smooth clinic operations

Team Culture & Onboarding

Required & Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Relevant experience in a healthcare setting preferred

  • Ability to learn and retain medical coding concepts; experience with ICD10 and CPT coding preferred

  • Ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
