About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. As a Recruitment Specialist for the site you will be the face of Alamos Gold’s hiring efforts at our Island Gold District operations. Reporting the Manager, Recruiting Operations, you will lead full-cycle recruitment activities from posting through onboarding. This is a highly visible role where you’ll drive operational excellence from day one.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for open positions
  • Recruit candidates by using various methods such job posting sites, databases, social media etc.
  • Source candidates where necessary for hard-to-fill positions using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Screen candidate resumes and conduct interviews job to assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitude
  • Build positive relationships with hiring managers and provide guidance and timely updates to hiring managers throughout the search process
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience to all candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Partner with satellite HR teams as required to share best practices and seek out potential recruitment efficiencies
  • Leverage various social media platforms to strengthen AGIs brand and develop strong candidate pools
  • Onboard new employees to ensure a smooth transition into their role and help them become fully integrated with the company.
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to relevant stakeholders
  • Lead and attend recruitment events, such as job fairs, trade shows etc.
  • Fully utilize, update and maintain the applicant tracking systems (UKG Software)
  • Contribute to development of AGI’s recruitment strategy and ensuring alignment and continuity within AGI’s overall talent management strategy
  • This is a remote role, but will require travel to site on occasion.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in recruitment in general with 2+ years of experience in mining or resource-based industries
  • Good understanding of various sourcing strategies and techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to independently and passionately manage a high-volume recruitment workload
  • Proven track record in building successful partnerships with hiring managers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,)
  • Strong organization skills with ability to multitask and accomplish tasks, projects and goals efficiently
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills
  • Professional attitude and well-developed interpersonal skills

Salary Range: $80,600 - $128,750

The expected salary for this role is intended to support pay transparency.
