We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist, Reconciliation II to join our Custody Reconciliation Centre of Excellence (RCoE) team. This role is located in Pune. India

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Perform end-to-end reconciliation data analysis, identify trends, and deliver insights for automation and process optimization.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for reconciliation breaks; escalate complex issues to senior staff with clear evidence and recommendations.
  • Create and maintain technology communications, documentation (SOPs, playbooks, control checklists), and business cases for improvements.
  • Present data analysis conclusions, recommendations, and initiative updates to senior stakeholders; contribute content for market-facing documentation.
  • Coordinate with upstream/downstream teams on dependencies, cut-offs, fallback procedures; proactively communicate status updates.
  • Support heightened monitoring and throughput during month-end/quarter-end cycles to meet delivery timelines and completeness targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement: standardize steps, streamline hand-offs, and identify opportunities for responsible scripting/automation.
  • Monitor and report operational KPIs (e.g., on-time transfers, exception rate, aging, rework, data quality flags); implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in change management for new sources, formats, and transfer modes; conduct UAT and capture results/evidence.
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives and advancement of the AI roadmap while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of reconciliations to facilitate prompt resolution of breaks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to team goals and objectives; no direct reports but may provide guidance to less experienced team members.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience required).
  • 1–3 years of experience in reconciliation processes or process automation, with demonstrated expertise in optimizing workflows.
  • Exhibits strong attention to detail and consistently adheres to procedural, control, and documentation standards.
  • Proficiency in AI applications and no-code/low-code tools such as Xceptor, Alteryx, and Tableau is highly desirable.
  • Capable of managing multiple process deliverables, SLAs, and dependencies, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams and varying time zones.
  • Possesses an ownership mindset with a commitment to risk management, issue escalation, and timely resolution.
