Specialist Radiographer - Fixed-term and Casual BreastScreen Tasmania - Employment Register 2024-26

A fixed-term employment register is not a vacancy and inclusion on a register does not guarantee any offer of employment will be made.

$106,966 - $123,013 (pro-rata), per annum

Please note that access to salaries beyond $118,114 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.

Applications are invited from qualified Diagnostic Radiographers/Mammographers interested in being considered for fixed-term full time, part time or casual Specialist Radiographer duties with BreastScreen Tasmania.

Successful applicants will be offered appointments up to 12 months, with hours subject to clinical needs and availability, in one or more BreastScreen Tasmania locations.

Duties

As a member of a multidisciplinary team you will facilitate client screening mammography, diagnostic and further assessment imaging as required at BreastScreen Tasmania's Screening Unit site locations.

You will have the opportunity to take a leading role in the supervision of less experienced staff. You will be required to perform duties in line with the BreastScreen Australia Program, ensuring that professional standards are maintained.

A certificate of Clinical Proficiency in Mammography (CCPM) will be highly regarded but not essential and breast ultrasound skills will be considered favourably.

This Register will remain open to applicants until 30 June 2026 and will be reviewed on a regular basis.

Please note that the Register will not preclude other Specialist Radiographer positions being advertised if warranted. Current vacancies are available on the job.tas.gov.au website.

  • Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1) Conviction check in the following areas: a) Crimes of violence; b) Sex related offences; c) Serious drug offences; and d) Crimes involving dishonesty.

2) Identification check.

3) Disciplinary action in previous employment check.

Please note: For some roles you may be required to undertake a Working with Children Registration.
