HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
The Construction & Planning specialist will be responsible for performing tasks focused on improving the construction operations and providing administrative and billing support at Wrigley Field and the surrounding campus. At the direction of the Manager, Construction and Planning this role will work closely with the Analysis and Planning team, along with the Facilities team to coordinate contractors and vendors on performed work, assist with vendors, invoicing and perform a wide range of special projects supporting all functions of the Operations department.
THE DAY-T0-DAY:
Support and coordinate administrative activities between field management, other departments, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and other parties including architects and engineers
Interpret constructions drawings and plans to provide clear and concise communication between the design team and project stakeholders
Assist with scheduling project activities, track progress against timelines, and manage the flow of information
Attend planning meetings and walk through with contractors/vendors as needed
Assist with invoice processing, maintain cost records and budget proposals.
Assist in procurement and inventory management
Assist with document consolidation and management
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
2-year degree from an accredited college or technical school or equivalent` combination of education and 2 years of related experience in building facilities maintenance or construction
Proficient knowledge of construction drawings
Proficient knowledge of construction technology systems such as Asset Essentials, Procore, and Bluebeam
Able to perform the following physical tasks: bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb flights of stairs, walk on uneven ground, walk/run up and down ramps, walk and stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift and carry at least 20 lbs. on a regular basis
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Must have the ability to effectively adapt to work environment that is in constant change due to weather
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, including Microsoft Project
