Job Description

Celanese is seeking a Manufacturing Expert & Stewardship Leader to join our team in Coatzacoalcos, primarily will be responsible for:

  • Maintains compliance with EHS requirements during daily operations.
  • Field evaluation of the use of procedures as part of SQRE plans.
  • Ensures compliance with environmental regulations according to the 4 fundamental principles.
  • Field reviews of EHS procedures with the 24/7 team.

Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of a daily approach in ESHA.
  • Involves and motivates the 24/7 Team in the use and monitoring of leading safety indicators.
  • Evaluates the application of safety procedures in the field, manages feedback, and continuously reviews results to prevent system deterioration.
  • Coordinates with the ESHA facilitator to identify and eliminate safety barriers.
  • Develops safety strategies and maintains close communication with the DEL.
  • Audits life-critical permits, ConOps, and follows up on behavioral observations.
  • Monitors established environmental and safety parameters and quickly escalates any deviations or violations that may have occurred.
  • Evaluates and addresses hazard recognition and near misses.
  • Performs root cause analysis (RCA) and escalates issues that cannot be resolved.
  • Trains Core Team members on safety programs, initiatives, etc.
  • Generates improvement ideas and implement projects derived from these ideas.
  • Promotes assessment of the unit's safety culture and the change agent program.
  • Ensures compliance with the unit's legal obligations.
  • Responsible for developing and training CONOPS in the safety section.

Qualifications

  • Chemical Engineer degree.
  • 2- 5 experience years.
  • Knowledge in SAP.
  • English skills medium.
