Job Location Louisville Campus - Louisville, KY 40203 Position Type Full Time Education Level Bachelor's degree required

The Specialist of Development is responsible for managing the donor database (Donor Perfect) and related systems to support fundraising, donor stewardship, and strategic development efforts. This position plays a key role in strengthening The Center’s financial sustainability. This role also supports annual fundraising campaigns and stewardship efforts, especially direct mail campaigns, monthly donors, in-kind donations, and Third-Party events.

Qualification, Skills & Competencies

  • Experience with Donor Perfect or similar nonprofit CRM systems is required.

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising operations, or database administration.

  • Proficiency with a range of office productivity tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Canva and donor management software.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. An understanding of donor confidentiality and ethical data practices.

  • Ability to train and support staff with varying technical abilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for donor outreach and fundraising proposals.

  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and budget management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The Center for Women and Families provides free services to all people who have experienced intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We help our clients and their dependent children become survivors through trauma-informed advocacy. Our goal is to mitigate the impact of their trauma by reducing their risk factors and building their resiliency. We serve anyone in Jefferson, Bullitt, Spencer, Shelby, Oldham, Henry, and Trimble counties in Kentucky and Floyd and Clark counties in Indiana.

We have advocates who answer our 24/7 crisis line, and we have advocates who assist clients and their children living in our 79-bed emergency shelter. We also have advocates who go to area hospital emergency rooms and courtrooms to provide services to our clients.
