Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Obstetrics & Gynecology to join a leading healthcare facility in Oman. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, manage normal and high-risk pregnancies, perform gynecological procedures and surgeries, and deliver exceptional patient-centered care in accordance with international clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient obstetric and gynecological care.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of gynecological disorders and reproductive health conditions.
• Manage antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care for both routine and high-risk pregnancies.
• Conduct normal vaginal deliveries and perform cesarean sections.
• Perform gynecological surgeries, including minimally invasive procedures where appropriate.
• Evaluate and manage infertility, menstrual disorders, menopause, and family planning services.
• Perform routine gynecological examinations, cervical cancer screening, and colposcopy where applicable.
• Provide emergency obstetric and gynecological care.
• Counsel patients on pregnancy, contraception, reproductive health, and preventive women's healthcare.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and other specialists to ensure optimal maternal and fetal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Oman Ministry of Health regulations, hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in on-call duties and emergency coverage as required.

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• MD, MS, DNB, MRCOG, Arab Board, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Eligibility for or possession of a valid Oman Ministry of Health (MoH) license
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization experience as a Specialist Obstetrician & Gynecologist.
• Proven experience in managing both routine and high-risk obstetric cases.
• Proficiency in gynecological surgeries and emergency obstetric procedures.
• Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
