Specialist - Inventory

The Kibali Gold Mine Team is seeking to recruit two (2) Specialists - Inventorytojoin and grow our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update inventory records and the system to ensure accurate and timely tracking;

  • Work with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs and identify potential inventory issues;

  • Manage aging inventory and coordinate the rotation or proper disposal of obsolete inventory;

  • Review and analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement;

  • Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to identify discrepancies;

  • Investigate and resolve inventory-related issues such as discrepancies or damage;

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records;

  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock-outs;

  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, slow items, and optimization opportunities;

  • Ensure that all VMI reconciliations are completed on time;

  • Work in compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 Standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Management or equivalent field.

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Have a proven track record of at least 5 years in inventory management, supply chain operations or a similar role, preferably in the mining, manufacturing or heavy industry sectors.

  • Have a detailed understanding of MRP management, inventory control and management systems, and ERP.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills for a demanding, client-centric work environment

  • Possess excellent personal organization and business management skills in accordance with modern methods of good practice.

  • Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative, and to motivate under tight deadlines and pressure, while remaining attentive. Details and quality.
