Infrastructure Application Manager

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Application Manager to lead the governance, optimization, and evolution of our application portfolio. In this role, you will drive strategic initiatives, ensure alignment with business objectives, and maximize the value delivered by our applications across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Application Portfolio Management

  • Oversee the lifecycle of Continental’s application portfolio, including assessment, optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, consolidation, and rationalization to enhance efficiency and reduce complexity.
  • Define and implement application management strategies, policies, and governance frameworks in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and optimize usage to control costs.
  • Maintain clear ownership and accountability for infrastructure applications supported by the team.

Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the application portfolio management lifecycle
  • Design and implement standardized processes, workflows, and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot portfolio-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation reflecting changes, improvements, and governance standards.

Technical Support & Collaboration

  • Act as a key point of contact between technical and business stakeholders across all organizational levels.
  • Provide guidance on application portfolio tools, processes, and governance.
  • Work closely with IT Operations to ensure smooth deployment, integration, and ongoing performance of applications.

Change Management

  • Apply ITIL-based change management principles to ensure controlled and effective changes.
  • Assess the impact of changes within the application portfolio and minimize business disruption.
  • Coordinate change initiatives with stakeholders, ensuring proper planning, communication, and execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in application portfolio management, process improvement, and documentation
  • Ability to solve problems creatively with minimal guidance while maintaining a timely and cost-effective approach
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Familiarity with change management practices, ITIL principles, and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Solid knowledge of IT operations, including Windows platforms and software deployment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with automated workflows and the administration of complex applications
  • Fluent in English
