General Information:

To support our strategic projects in the fields of hybridization, electrification, and digitalization, we are looking for you as our future specialist in engineering methods and tools for AI-enhanced Model-Based Development (MBD) and AI-enhanced Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). In this role, you will be responsible for empowering our engineering teams to leverage advanced AI-driven MBSE techniques for modelling, simulation, automatic code generation, testing, and comprehensive documentation of software and system functions.You will drive the adoption and continuous improvement of AI-augmented tools and workflows that enable systematic, data-driven system and software design operations. Your scope includes consulting and supporting system and software engineers working with simulation models that serve as single sources of truth for embedded code generation, system verification, and project documentation. Furthermore, you will play a key role in evolving our System Design Automation (SDA) framework by integrating AI and automation technologies, strengthening Schaeffler Group’s position at the forefront of standardized, intelligent engineering methodologies.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and optimize methods, tools, and workflows, integrating AI-driven automation and data analytics to advance continuous improvement of our engineering processes;
• Model, simulate, and validate software and system functions using Matlab/Simulink, including automated code generation using Embedded Coder;
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to analyse and define requirements for advanced MBD methodologies, ensuring alignment with user needs and project goals;
• Provide expert consulting, global support, and trainings to engineering teams by leveraging AI-based technologies;
• Lead initiatives to embed AI and Machine Learning techniques for requirements-based model generation, anomaly detection, and simulation within the SDA framework;
• Stay up to date with emerging AI applications in systems and software engineering and promote best practices across project teams.

Your Qualifications:

• University degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, physics, or a related technical field;
• Solid experience with Matlab/Simulink and embedded code generation (Embedded Coder);
• Proven knowledge in software engineering, system modelling, simulation, code generation, and requirements engineering;
• Hands-on experience programming in Matlab script, C, C++, Java, or Python, including exposure to AI/ML frameworks and automation scripting;
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts applied to systems and software modelling, including but not limited to data- and requirements-driven model generation, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation;
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written;
• Result-driven mindset with structured, analytical problem-solving skills;
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities, capable of collaborating across interdisciplinary teams globally.
