Specialist - HR Operations Support

EMPLOYMENT STATUS

Full Time

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

• Capture and manage HR operational inputs, including timekeeping, workforce data, and employee lifecycle events, to support accurate HR processing, reporting, and service delivery.
• Maintain data integrity and support HR planning and operational HR execution at site.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Support safe work practices, incident reporting, corrective action close-out, and compliance with OHS and environmental requirements.
• Execute operational HR activities in line with legal standards and required deadlines, including support for payroll-related inputs and reporting.
• Capture, maintain, and update employee, time and attendance, shift, and HR system data to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency.
• Support core HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, recruitment, training, performance management, performance appraisal, succession planning, and workforce planning.
• Provide support on employee relations matters including grievances, investigations, disciplinary processes, exit interviews, and coaching for people leaders.
• Assist with employee engagement, talent management, people capability, Diversity and Inclusion, Wellbeing, and regional or corporate HR initiative implementation.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant qualification in Human Resources Management, Social Science, or another relevant discipline.

Experience

• Experience in an HR operational support role.
• HR generalist experience in an operations-based environment.
• Experience across HR disciplines including industrial relations, organisational development, training and development, remuneration and benefits, and staffing.
• Experience in the mining or related industry would be advantageous.

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of HR processes and best practices.
• Knowledge of labour laws and regulations applicable to the mining industry.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and data management capability.
• Good organisational and time-management skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines.
• Effective communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
• Ability to build strong working relationships, maintain integrity, and drive performance.
