Job Title: Specialist, HR Operations

Reporting to : Manager, HR Services

Why This Role Matters

The role Assist in the implementation of Human Capital strategic initiatives in areas of employee relations, training, project management, recruiting and induction, talent management, compliance, business improvement, compensation, internal communications. This position is also responsible for coordinating and approving benefit requests, will also investigate incidents and actions by employees that may require disciplinary action by the Company and coordinates follow up to ensure that any subsequent approved corrective action has been taken by the concerned supervisor and the employee properly informed/counselled.

This position is responsible for implementing operational excellence activities within the job holder’s span of control.

What Will You Deliver?

Investigate incidents and violations of company rules and regulations by employees. Includes receiving relevant details from the concerned supervisor and calling the employee for interview and questioning to determine reasons for violation of company regulations. Examples: unauthorized absence from work, bad timekeeping. Forwards documentation and findings to Human Resources department at Head Office for any further action as necessary.

Implements approved corrective guidance actions. Includes issuing warning letters to employee with necessary explanations.

Coordinates employee’s leave requests between the Mine, and Head Office. Includes checking employees leave requests to ensure compliance with policy, dispatching to Head Office for approval and disbursing approved requests to the employee and the department concerned.

Follows up Mine employees' applications for exit and re-entry visas and residence permits for non-Saudi staff. Includes making periodic follow-up calls to Jeddah office to inquire about the status of application.

Meets safety goals through training and reinforcement.

Carries out a variety of administrative personnel activities such as liaising with the Head Office or Mine employees re applications for bank loans, coordinating personnel ground transportation between the various sites, implementing and processing salary action procedures, gathering information, compiling GOSI and other reports, suggesting changes to policy and procedures in light of operational requirements.

Reviews all leaves (holiday, sick, etc.) requests for Maaden employees against entitlements and refers to individual contracts, policy, procedures and Labor Law, as necessary. Approves entitlements if within appropriate guidelines and ensures timely and efficient processing of applicable payments overtime, deductions.

Ensures that training and development needs are communicated to Head office.

Coordinating various payments/deductions with HR Riyadh including vacations and advance payments.

Coordinating various recruitments with Riyadh Recruitment includes handling of personnel requisitions, screening applications, coordinating with line department heads for applicant interviews if needed, processing selected candidates for employment.

Processes termination procedures in accordance with provisions of individual contracts, company policy and procedures and Labor Law.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration or equivalent.

Experience

3 years’ experience in Human Resources.
