Role Purpose:

The Master Data Management Team at DP World is seeking a capable professional to support global digital transformation initiatives within the Global Service Centre. The role reports to the Manager, MDM (India) and collaborates with global enterprise stakeholders.

The individual will manage critical master data processes across Customer, Vendor, and Item domains, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and system alignment. The role involves supporting large-scale data cleanup activities, driving automation-led efficiency improvements, coordinating integration issue resolution with IT teams, and contributing to continuous strengthening of SOP controls. The position also serves as a functional resource for complex data and system-related matters.

Designation: Specialist / Senior Specialist – Master Data Management

Base Location: Navi Mumbai

Reporting to: Assistant Manager

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end lifecycle activities for Customer, Vendor, and Item Master data including creation, modification, deactivation, and bulk updates.

  • Support and execute large-scale data cleanup and transformation initiatives with minimal business disruption.

  • Contribute to strengthening SOP controls through additional validations and dependency checks where required.

  • Coordinate with IT and business stakeholders to identify and resolve system integration issues between CRM, Oracle Fusion, and related applications.

  • Perform root-cause analysis for data anomalies and bulk upload failures; support implementation of corrective actions.

  • Drive automation initiatives using Power Automate, VBA Macros, or similar tools to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.

  • Support audit requirements and ensure timely closure of master data-related observations.

  • Prepare dashboards and reports using OTBI / Power BI / CRM tools to monitor KPIs, TAT, and data quality metrics.

  • Act as a point of contact for complex MDM queries and support knowledge transfer within the team.

  • Ensure adherence to SLA/TAT commitments, including during high-volume periods.

  • Identify improvement opportunities within data processes and recommend enhancements.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Customer, Vendor, and Item Master Data lifecycle management.

  • Ability to mentor team members and act as functional SME

  • Proven experience in handling large-scale data cleanup & migration activities.

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred) and integration & data flow architecture.

  • Practical experience in automation tools such as Power Automate, VBA Macros, or similar (mandatory).

  • Ability to perform root-cause analysis and design sustainable process controls.

  • Strong analytical capability to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable solutions.

  • Experience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI / OTBI / CRM reporting tools.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to coordinate across IT and business teams.

  • Self-driven individual capable of operating independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity in a dynamic shared services environment.

  • Job requires to work in rotational shifts / Weekly offs as per business offices pattern.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 4–7 years of experience in Master Data Management / ERP Data Governance

  • Should preferably be from Freight Forwarding / Supply Chain Logistics background.

  • Business experience managing data driven processes across multiple functions.

  • Strong understanding of external data trends and industry requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of data processing, database management, and data governance principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Experience with data cleanup and data quality improvement processes.
  • Good understanding of data security and privacy regulations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
