What you will do:

As a Field IT Support professional, you will provide a wide range of IT services to support day-to-day operations and ensure a seamless technology experience for employees. This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end support across hardware, software, connectivity, and service requests, while also contributing to Enterprise and Business Unit (BU) initiatives.

You will play a critical role in maintaining IT performance and reliability at the site level, supporting both onsite users and satellite locations. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

How you will do it:

  • Install, configure, and support hardware including PCs, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and specialized equipment
  • Provide software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting support
  • Perform endpoint vulnerability remediation in alignment with security standards
  • Support Enterprise and BU project initiatives (planned and unplanned)
  • Deliver walk-up (Tech Hut) IT support services
  • Manage PC lifecycle activities including provisioning, refresh, disposal, and asset management
  • Provide local infrastructure support (servers, network equipment, VOIP systems)
  • Deliver Smart Hands support and coordinate with third-party vendors and internal IT teams
  • Assist in deploying mobile devices at the local level
  • Support IT procurement processes for hardware and services
  • Manage user access permissions, including network share access
  • Ensure local IT security compliance, including communications room maintenance and access control
  • Support IT audits and compliance activities
  • Provide IT support for satellite offices, including travel when required
  • Coordinate and manage site or regional IT vendors

Service Delivery Expectations:

  • Deliver IT services in accordance with defined Service Level Targets (SLTs) using Johnson Controls service management tools
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong ownership of issues through resolution
  • Provide a high level of customer service with a user-first mindset

What we look for:

Required:

  • Experience supporting hardware, software, and end-user IT services
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Experience working with IT service management tools and processes
  • Willingness to travel locally or regionally as needed
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs on a routine basis
  • Comfortable working at heights and capable of safely operating an Aerial Work Platform (AWP) up to 40 feet
  • Commitment to following all safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting enterprise environments and infrastructure
  • Familiarity with IT security and compliance practices
  • Experience with vendor coordination and project support
  • Previous experience providing onsite or field IT support
  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: CAD 70,000 – 90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
