About the role

As a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner – Brief Intervention, this is your opportunity to deliver crisis responses, brief interventions, and targeted supportto adult and childvictimsurvivorsexperiencing family violence. You will support both Rapid Response and Case Management teams, providing interim outreach, stabilisation support, and service planning for clients with multiple and intersecting needs.

Reporting to the Team Leader, this is fixed-term full-time position, contracted until June 2027, based in Windsor, VIC

Conditions

Compensation isin accordance withSCHADS Level 5.

How you will make an impact

  • Client engagement through building effective and empowering relationships that uphold the National Family Violence Model of Care.
  • Brief intervention support through the delivery of crisis responses, interimassistance, and targeted interventions for victim survivors.
  • Assessment and planning by conducting ongoing assessments, developing case plans, and supporting referrals to longer term case management services.
  • Advocacy and service navigation toassistclients in accessing holistic supports, strengthening community connections, and engaging with advocacy pathways.
  • Record keeping and risk management through maintaining accurate client records, monitoring progress, identifying risks and contributing to continuous service improvement.

What you will bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work or a related field (essential).
  • Experience in family violence or child wellbeing (desirable).
  • Crisis response capability with strongtimemanagementand prioritisation skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy including experience with data and record management systems.
  • A current Employee WorkingwithChildren Check
  • A currentVictorian Driver’s Licence.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best.
