  • 3 Full time, Fixed Term positions (12 month contract)
  • Broadmeadows, Craigieburn and Sunbury locations (Wurundjeri Country)
  • $110K pa + 11.5% Super & Salary Packaging ($15,900 p.a.)

About the Role

As a Specialist Family Violence Hub Practitioner, you will play a critical role in family violence risk assessment, safety planning and engagement of victim survivors and their children into any supports they need. This includes adopting an integrated approach to safety and child wellbeing.

The referrals are a combination of police referred, victim survivors calling our service directly, or referrals from other services. The service can be provided by contacting victim survivors by phone, face to face at The Orange Door (HMA) or conducting outreach appointments.

We’re seeking practitioners with:

  • A Bachelor qualification in Social Work, or equivalent experience under the 7 Equivalency Principles.

  • Experience working in the family violence sector, ideally in intake, triage or assessment.
  • A strong understanding of the integrated family violence service system.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, intersectional practice.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
