Job Title: Specialist - Facilities & Maintenance

Company: FT Techno of America, FTTA

Department: Operations, Facilities & Maintenance

Location: Fowlerville, MI

This position will function to provide support to the facilities department of an automotive proving ground, including buildings, grounds, vehicles, equipment, and road systems.

Position Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

  • Inspection, maintenance, and repair of buildings and related systems including, but not limited to HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing.
  • Inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment and passenger vehicles.
  • Operate heavy equipment (loaders, airport snow removal equipment, etc.).
  • Perform snow removal on parking lots, access roads, and test tracks using heavy equipment.
  • Perform grounds maintenance (mowing, road grading, perimeter fences, drainage systems, etc.)
  • Work closely with operations and engineering teams to support customer requirements as needed.
  • Oversee contractors/vendors performing work on site to ensure compliance with safety/security policies and quality of work
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 3- 5 years performing inspections, repair, and maintenance of buildings, systems, vehicles, and equipment.
  • 3 -5 years’ experience safely operating heavy equipment (loaders, snow removal equipment, skid-steer, etc.)
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing buildings, systems, vehicles, and related equipment.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Basic office skills, operating a PC, Microsoft office.
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers and other team members in a professional environment.

Beneficial Skills and Experience

  • Experience at an automotive proving ground.

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High school diploma

Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 0 - 10 %
  • Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
