The Master Data Specialist will play an important role in supporting McLaren Racing’s finance transformation by helping to create trusted, accurate and well-governed master data for our finance systems.
Working across Finance and connected business teams, you will support the cleansing, governance and population of master data, ensuring it is aligned to the Financial Data Model, ERP design and reporting requirements. This role is key to enabling a scalable, auditable and reliable finance platform for the future.
What You'll Do
Help define and govern Finance master data standards across customers, suppliers, chart of accounts, financial dimensions, ownership models, naming conventions, and data policies aligned to ERP design.
Lead data migration activities including data extraction, profiling, cleansing, transformation, reconciliation, validation, and preparation of migration-ready datasets for ERP implementation.
Establish robust data controls and documentation by maintaining mapping rules, transformation logic, audit trails, validation evidence, issue logs, and ensuring all ETL activities are traceable and compliant.
Ensure alignment between data, ERP design, and business processes by partnering with Finance, Data Engineering, and Solution Architecture teams to support the financial data model, reporting requirements, and system-of-record definitions.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience supporting the Extract and Transform stages of ETL, including source data extraction, profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation logic, validation, and reconciliation.
Strong understanding of data migration cycles, including test loads, mock cutovers, defect resolution, migration readiness, and cutover support.
Experience defining and maintaining data standards, transformation rules, mapping documentation, validation evidence, and audit controls.
Confident working with large data sets in Excel and/or data management tools to identify data quality issues.
Ability to work closely with Finance, Data Engineering, Solution Architecture, implementation partners, and business process owners.
Previous experience with Workday Financials or another major ERP platform would be advantageous.
