About the Role
We are seeking a Specialist, Enterprise Risk Modelling & Insights to join RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will support the lead in identifying high-impact risk modelling and insights use cases across all risk pillars, helping the Bank make data-driven decisions and manage risks effectively. You will also assist in building and maintaining the infrastructure necessary for advanced modelling and insights.
What you will be doing
Modelling & Insights Capabilities
Support the lead in the setup and maintenance of advanced modelling and insights toolkits tailored to different model types.
Conduct risk modelling and generate insights across various portfolios to inform decision-making.
Develop forward-looking models to enhance risk management across risk pillars.
Assist in standardising and automating core insights for ongoing analysis.
Coordinate with Enterprise Risk teams to integrate business-as-usual risk insights into reports.
Support the development of formal procedure documents for common modelling activities, including sampling, clustering, and model forms such as regressions, decision trees, and hazard models.
Modelling & Insights Infrastructure
Assist in setting up data and technology infrastructure to deploy models efficiently.
Collaborate with the Group Analytics Centre of Excellence to ensure timely access to clean, well-governed datasets.
What we’re looking for
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in statistical modelling and insights roles; banking or insurance experience is a plus.
Skills and Knowledge
Proficient in SAS programming (minimum 5 years) and Python programming.
Ability to generate actionable modelling and insights solutions for business challenges.
Strong presentation and communication skills to explain complex modelling results clearly.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Deep expertise in data mining and insight exploration techniques.
Hands-on experience managing large datasets using appropriate tools and techniques.
Knowledge of Big Data tools such as SAS and Oracle BDA.
Data modelling experience, including segmentation and clustering.
