Supports the configuration, maintenance, and daily operation of EMS/SCADA applications to ensure accurate telemetry and reliable system performance. This role ensures operators receive timely support and high-quality data for safe and efficient grid operations.
Configures and maintains EMS/SCADA interfaces to ensure continuous and accurate telemetry supporting reliable grid operations.
Updates SCADA points and one‑line diagrams to enable operators to visualize and control real-time system conditions effectively.
Prepares and configures environments for device pre‑commissioning to ensure readiness and correct operational parameter assignment.
Reports and coordinates system anomalies NOC/NSG to resolve issues rapidly and maintain operational stability.
Supports Operations Centers daily to optimize use of EMS applications and modules for improved operational efficiency.
Produces and distributes EMS-related reports to authorized business units to enable informed decision-making.
Performs backups, patching, troubleshooting, and recovery activities to maintain EMS system integrity and adherence to change-control protocols.
Documents updates, procedures, and configurations to ensure accurate operational records and support team knowledge.
Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations
Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services.
Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.
Additional Job Description:
Education
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience
5 years’ experience in SCADA /PLC environment or similar functional role. Previous experience with configuration of RTU’s or PLC’s will be a strong asset
Have a good understanding of SCADA, FEP, ICCP, RTU’s, HMI, PLC’s, Displays and familiarized with the communication protocols utilized on the Industrial Control Systems such as DNP3, Modbus among others.
